Today
Today, I was supposed to volunteer at the Jazz event. But since it rained and piured, it was cancelled… So there went those plans. But my boyfriend came over anyways. We hung out for a few hours. Which we spent the majority of deliberating on what we should do. We finally decided to rent a movie from blockbuster. Then I couldn’t decide on a movie and we spent another 30 minutes picking a movie. So all we really did was have just enough toime to finish Igor, which was an alright movie.

Saturday
I have pratically no time to post anymore. Its sad.
But anyways. Today was a not so great day. I would say horrible but it really wasn’t that bad; I’m just feeling really moody and stressed and wanted everything to go perfectly and obviously it didn’t.
Anyways. I’m going to bed. Trying to make up for lost sleep since I have 6 AM morning rehearsal. And too much homeowrk.

school
Today was the first day of the new school year. Although I woke up this morning hopeful that I would share classes with friends and this year would hold fun times, I was disappointed. My classes are random assortments of people I dislike or haven’t seen before, and although many would see this as an oppurtunity to make new friends, I see it as a catastrophe. All my friends have classes together. Without me. I fear that we will grow apart through the year without classes. And yes, we all say friends forever, but without contact, that statement is simply impossible. I could of course, as you may be thinking, see my friends outside of school. Too bad my friends are involved in dance and I’m in band. There’s no time to hang out. And as far as meeting new friends, I honestly don’t like the people in my classes. I don’t want anything to do with them. I find that classes that I have with loud people that I dislike, I tend to disappear. I don’t say anything. I simply sit and do my work. I feel like this year will involve a lot of disappearing into the background. No socializing. And to top it all off, I have a number of classes with girls who I have, ahem, a history with, we’ll say. Needless to say, I’m feeling frustrated and overwhelmed and a bit stressed fromt the day. I’m doubting I’ll enjoy this year. My teachers, at least from what I’ve heard, are not exactly what you’d call amazing.
On the bright side, I did get to see some of my old teachers that I love. Not all, but a couple.
And as I sadly just realized, I saw more teachers than friends today I think. I only saw two of my friends that aren’t in band, and it was very breifly.
What a great start to the year.

days and week
Okay. Majorr update, as I have not been doing so on a daily basis. Keeping up with blogging and band is a lot harder than you’d think. Anyways.. I’ll start with Friday.
Friday: Came home from band about 6, took a shower. Aaron came over after and we talked and played Mario Cart on the Wii. I won. :)
Saturday: I got up and went to my hair appointment & finally got my hair cut. I get one hair cut a year so it’s kinda a big deal. Then I went to see Harry Potter with my padre finally. Ahh-mazing movie. After that my mom and I went to the mall and I bought a few tops and a bunch of socks from Forever21.
Sunday: Aaron invited me to see Harry Potter again and I went so we could at least hang out for a bit. Plus I loved the movie and wanted to see it again. We went to the 2:50 showing but it was almost full so we bought the next showing at 6:40 and went to the mall until about 5. We put our money together to buy Starbucks and pretzel sticks (from $4 and assorted change on the bottom of my purse). Then we went to see Harry Potter. Somehow, I left the house at 1:30 to see the movie and didn’t get back til around 10:30. Not that I mind. Absolutely amazing day, though I was so tired on the way home I fell asleep on Aaron who makes a very nice pillow.
Monday: Band camp at 8. Outside practice from 8 to noon. Cici’s for lunch. Uniform refittings during sectionals and big band rehearsal. I found a jacket that fits and even though my bib is huge they sewed and cut it enough to look presentable. Unfortunately, I had a massive headache (migrain?). My madre picked me up and we went to sonic. Then I came home and took an advil. I tried taking two but felt sick trying and ended up wrapping myself in a blanket and falling asleep on the floor. Afterwards, I feel much better, though still a bit of a headache.
Anyways. That’s my week. Hopefully I’ll be able to update more frequently.

the week
Band camp started this week which explains my lack of posts. Right now I’m taking a break from practicing the show music. This week has been long and tiring but still fun. We finally got our coordinates today and I was so glad to move on to drill rather than continue fundamentals for four hours a day. This also means I need to memorize my music. I have the first page down for the most part, I just have a little weird thing going on with this run.
I’m now super tan. Four hours of sun= Insta- Mexican Tori. Yeeeah. Even with sunscreen on. And a hat. But oh my gosh, don’t even get me started on how hot it is out there. I think I’m going to die in that heat.
Well. Back to practicing. And then bed so I can wake up tomorrow at 7 to leave by 7:30 and get there 15 minutes early.
Oh, almost forgot, I registered today (with MAJOR complications and a huge ass bitch attitude from our lovely schools employees). What a mess. They need to figure out what the heck they’re doing. It took me an hour and a half. I missed an hour and a half of band camp to register for school. All because on the handout I recieved, it said I only need bring proof of residency. Apparently, they also wanted your parent’s driver’s license. Which was not mentioned on the sheet. It said NEW students needed it but RETURNING did not. Which I pointed out and got yelled at for. Then I argued that if they wanted it, they should have put it on the sheet they mailed out. And their response was “Well district…” Ya, well maybe the district should have checked what they mailed out.
Anyways, other than that, the day was average. I’m super tired. Going to practice til Aaron gets home so I can call him. Then go to bed.

the weekend
Was amazing. It was the perfect end to summer as it ends tomorrow with band camp.
Friday: I made tamales all day. I was up at 7 AM, went to walmart, picked up supplies, and did not fall asleep until 2 AM when I passed out on the couch on accident.
Saturday: Surprise party for the twins! Their birthday is the fifth. They thought they were coming to my house to help make tamales. Instead, they were surprise with a fiesta.
Today: Went shopping with Aaron. I bought jeans for the first time in 2 years since the store I normally buy jeans at closed and no other store carries the brand of jeans that fits me. I had to drive out an hour to another location. Also bought a skirt and a bunch of cute tops from foever21. Favorite store ever! Then I went to target and got some band supplies. Continued the adventure to Sonic where I bought a strawberry limade, and finally arrived back home, exhausted, but successful. Poor Aaron. It was his first time shopping with me when I was actually shopping and not browsing. He’s made it the past 2 years without having to go through that. He says next time he’ll wear running shoes and athletic shorts as I am the gold medal winner of speed walking.
Overall, it was an amazing weekend. Lots of memories made. I didn’t take many pictures; just enjoyed the moment. Tomorrow, life starts again.

wednesday
I did not get a hair cut today as my stylist became ill and was unable to make the appointment. Hopefully we’ll rescedule for next week. However, I was successful in getting my mother birthday gifts. I called my amazing grandma who took me to albertsons and the dollar store (oh dollar store, what would I do without you?) And I bought her 8 balloons (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, happy birthday, yellow flower) a card, and a pot of mini roses. ( I did not get her dead flowers.) I also picked out the cake for her (strawberry cheesecake) which my grandma insisted upon paying for. But it was an amazing day. Lots of fun. I also saw my cousin Iliana who I haven’t seen in forever.
And as soon as I find some ribbon, I’m making that headband.

love
This. This is one of the cutest headbands ever. I’m so making some with this material that I’d given up on. Its this old shirt that my mom got rid of and I thought would be perfect for something. I’d finally given up after about 3 years. And today, I found out what I’d saved it for. So pretty. I love her website, it has some great tutorials. I especially love the diy headbands.

today
I went to my boyfriend’s. Before that I watched The Knowing. Then National Treasure 2. Then National Treasure 1. And I made chinese food before that which was ahh-mazing. We went to the mall and I tried to find my mom a present she’d actually like that I could afford and did not succeed. So I am presentless and tomorrow is her birthday. I’ll probably make her a pretty card and possibly pay someone to bring me balloons or something since I”m not allowed to drive alone as I have yet to get my license. Idk yet. We’ll see.
Tomorrow: I have a hair appointment at 5! Super excited. I love getting my hair cut. I only get it cut once a year though. I try to let it grow out during the rest of the year.
Anyways, I’m going to bed, so goodnight.
